Appendix N

We just released our episode about our inspirations for D&D and other RPGs. These books, shows and other media were very formative for us and serve as inspiration for how and even why we play today.

We’d love to hear what inspires you! Leave a post with your inspiration, what do you keep going back to for new ideas or what really shaped you into the role player you are today?

We’re in session!

Hey there, Matt here. Our 3rd episode is out and the website is together. This is my first time every doing this and it has been surprisingly fun. I’m excited to see this project of ours develop and grow.

One of the big reasons we’re even doing this is because we love talking about D&D. Which, I’m sure is pretty obvious. D&D is an amazing deep system. You can do whatever you want with it. Delving through lost ruins and dark dungeons, infiltrating noble courts and thieves dens, creating an adventuring guild and fending of political rivals. All of these things and more can be done with a copy of the rule books, a couple of people and your imagination. I don’t need to sell you on D&D, but with all that’s possible there is a lot of questions on how to handle all the different situations that come up. D&D has also grown DRAMATICALLY since its first release and now with streaming services and YouTube more and more people are aware of this great game. With so many new and returning people it will be helpful to hear about how to handle some of the more interesting situations that came up while playing and running D&D. We’ve got a lot of experience between us and we each handle things in our own way. Our hope is to give you some ideas on what has and hasn’t worked for us so you can develop your own style and way of handling your game.

If you have a question on how to handle a situation in your game or want to share how you’ve handled something we’ve already talked about, we’d love to hear it. Thank you for reading and enjoy the episodes!
